    • A clinical trial is a research study involving human participants that evaluates the safety and/or effects of one or more interventions on health outcomes.

    • Populations for the intervention should be during pregnancy or at anytime during childhood including transition to adulthood

    • Interventions include but are not limited to, drugs, vaccines, radiopharmaceuticals, cells and other biological products, surgical procedures, radiologic procedures, devices, genetic therapies, natural health products (NHPs), process-of-care changes, preventive care, manual therapies, and psychotherapies

  • Yes, you are so long as your current salary award permits you to hold a second award. IMPaCT training is considered in addition to your duties as a graduate student or early career researcher/clinician.

  • Letters of support must come from Department Heads as they are individual who is best positioned to protect time for participation in IMPaCT.

  • Yes, you are. This is a great question. Awardees must be in their position at the time of accepting the training award.

  • Most often, the funds will be used be the fellow to provide salary support to enable participation in IMPaCT. The funds can alternatively be used to financially support other personnel to offset the time you would normally spend on research activities. This is important in order to protect time for participation in IMPaCT, which is an intensive one year commitment.

  • You can suggest preferred mentors from the IMPaCT mentor list, however, mentors will be assigned as available. You will know you mentors before you accept your award and are welcome to provide feedback.

  • Applications may be submitted in French. Please note, you are requested to advise IMPaCT of your intent to submit in French a minimum 3 weeks prior to the application deadline. Please note the IMPaCT curriculum is delivered in English.
