Dr. Leslie E. Roos is a clinical psychologist and Assistant Professor at the University of Manitoba, with appointments in Psychology and Pediatrics. Through her work, she hopes to help families thrive through the prevention and early intervention of mental health challenges. Specific research streams include (1) Parent mental health: understanding parent priorities and cultivating supportive communities (2) Equity-focused care: promoting mental health initiatives led by trainees and communities aligned with principles of self-determination, with current projects relevant to Indigenous & Newcomer family mental health (3) Technology-enhanced interventions: understanding how eHealth & wearable tech can inform the development of scalable health services. Dr. Roos completed her clinical residency at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto and received her PhD from the University of Oregon. She is a current DIVERT Mental Health Fellow and former Junior Fellow at the Centre on the Developing Child, at Harvard University.
