Martin Offringa
Dr. Offringa is a neonatologist and clinical epidemiologist. His research interests are in neonatal hypoglycaemia, lung protective ventilation and prevention of bronchopulmonary dysplasia, paediatric emergency medicine, and child and youth mental health. His current research focusses on rare genetic and metabolic diseases and youth depressive disorders. In 2015 he founded Toronto Outcomes Research in Child Health (TORCH), an initiative to develop and measure "core outcomes" in randomized controlled trials and cohort studies. His team recently published SPIRIT- and CONSORT for Children and Adolescents - new reporting standards for paediatric trials. Visit lab.research.sickkids.ca/enrich/ for more information.
