Amanda Newton
Dr. Newton is a professor in the Department of Pediatrics in the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Alberta. Her research focuses on clinical innovation in children’s mental health care. Dr. Newton has experience with innovative clinical trials designed to test intervention effects and the implementation context. With colleagues, she leads a national clinical trials network focused on child and youth mental health (CYMH). She is also involved in the leadership of DIVERT, a national training program focused on EDI and innovation in CYMH research and training.
